OX WAGON PULLING

The contests take place from March to December. Le Moule has two very well structured clubs that organize meets out at countryside. The ambiance is sometimes tense among competitors; this gives an exciting air to the competitions.

COCK FIGHTS
An inescapable Guadeloupean culture. Le Moule has 3 cock pits that organize frequent, sometimes bloody (in the arena) fights, in fierce matches and often very hot. Money is like dynamite here. Sensitive people should not go as the atmosphere is harsh. It is advisable to be accompanied by a connoisseur the first time.

CARNIVAL
This is one of the monuments of Guadeloupean folklore. It is forever evolving in order to rank among the best carnival events in the world. It is fired with wild stakes between cities, towns and communities. For several years, its amplitude and penetration into local traditions have made it an event of econommical importance to the point that one doesn't dare "count" anymore. Le Moule, like other large cities, organizes several events one of which is the "déboulé" (parade). The visitor from faraway will discover with curiosity and laughter the traditions lost in industrialized countries such as the "rise of vaval", "glory of vaval " and " burning of vaval " (vaval=king carnival). An entire program colored in an atmosphere of devilish music.
